SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY Doctrine and Covenants 1:16 They seek not the Lord to establish his righteousness, but every man walketh in his own way, and after the image of his own god, whose image is in the likeness of the world, and whose substance is that of an idol, which waxeth old and shall perish in Babylon, even Babylon the great, which shall fall. QUOTE OF THE DAY Spencer W. Kimball
“The possession of riches does not necessarily constitute sin. But sin may arise in the acquisition and use of wealth. . . . Book of Mormon history eloquently reveals the corrosive effect of the passion for wealth. Each time the people became righteous, they prospered. Then followed the transition from prosperity to wealth, wealth to the love of wealth, then to the love of ease and luxury. They moved then into spiritual inactivity, then to gross sin and wickedness, then on to near destruction by their enemies. . . . Had the people used their wealth for good purposes they could have enjoyed a continuing prosperity” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Spencer W. Kimball, p. 148). Click Here

1848 - Oliver Cowdery attends the conference of the Church held at Kanesville, Iowa, and recounts his involvement with the Prophet Joseph Smith and the founding of the Church. He bears testimony of the Book of Mormon and of the leadership of the Twelve Apostles following the death of the Prophet Joseph Smith. He had been excommunicated in April 1838 and this was the first time he had spoken to a Latter-day Saint congregation in over ten years. He is accepted back into fellowship and rebaptized nine days later. For More Church History, Click Here!
The Majesty of God's Law by W. Cleon Skousen This book is a study of the history and development of the only system of law which was revealed by God, himself. That is why it is called, "God's Law." Someday, God's law is coming to America. It could come repaidly after a period of cleansing and reform - even in our day. And since Moses said it would eventually transpire, there needs to be a generation of Americans trained and motivated to put it into effect. Dr. Skousen has prepared this present study in hopes that it might be of assistance. CLICK HERE!
