SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Helaman 13:26
Behold ye are worse than they; for as the Lord liveth, if a prophet come among you and declareth unto you the word of the Lord, which testifieth of your sins and iniquities, ye are angry with him, and cast him out and seek all manner of ways to destroy him; yea, you will say that he is a false prophet, and that he is a sinner, and of the devil, because he testifieth that your deeds are evil.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Spencer W. Kimball
Spencer W. Kimball
“Some may wonder why General Authorities speak of the same things from conference to conference. As I study the utterances of the prophets through the centuries, their pattern is very clear. We seek, in the words of Alma, to teach people ‘an everlasting hatred against sin and iniquity.’ We preach ‘repentance, and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.’ (Alma 37:32, 33.) We praise humility. We seek to teach people ‘to withstand every temptation of the devil, with their faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.’ (Alma 37:33.) We teach our people ‘to never be weary of good works.’” (Alma 37:34.) (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Spencer W. Kimball, p. 252).
