Daily News for America's Fire Service

We’re glad to be back

If you follow us on social media, you learned the Daily Dispatch newsletter and website were recently taken offline by a cyber-ransomware attack. A product of Western Fire Chiefs Association (WFCA), the Daily Dispatch has been a trusted source of news and information for the fire service since 2004. With a commitment to bringing back the Daily Dispatch as soon as possible, WFCA got to work.

The journey to relaunch has been both a learning experience and a motivator for WFCA. During the past several weeks, we’ve worked to build an entirely new platform and website for the Daily Dispatch. In Phase I, you will see national news, job listings, a cooperative purchasing section and advertising banners. Looking ahead to Q1 2025, we will add more features, including state-specific news, wildland news, event listings, equipment ads, and more.

As always, our goal is to provide you with news and information you can use. Welcome to the new Daily Dispatch, news for America’s fire service, now powered by Western Fire Chiefs Association.
