Arabic-to-English translator Leri Price has won the Banipal Prize for her translation of Syrian author Khaled Khalifa's novel 'Death is Hard Work,' published in February 2019.
The £30,000 award for writers 39 and younger is scheduled to produce a longlist by January 24 and a shortlist on April 7, the winner to be named May 14.
The London Book Fair's Trailblazer Awards for publishing professionals younger than 30 has a longlist of 31 contenders in its fifth year of operation.
