In response to the murder of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police, a predominantly white Southern community college is partnering with a diverse two-year institution in a Minneapolis suburb to explore issues of racial justice and equity.

The high cost of housing in California was a challenge for Roshelle Czar even before the coronavirus. After Sacramento State University suspended in-person classes, Czar struggled to focus on her online courses while her roommates decided to party. Unable to move to a new apartment, she turned to couch surfing.
