J. Krishnamurti Online

What is thinking? First, there is experience. From experience, I derive knowledge. Knowledge is then stored in the brain as memory. Thought is the response of that memory. From thought is action. This is the cycle of man: experience, knowledge, memory, thought, action. From action, he learns more, which is more experience, and repeats this cycle. We have never moved out of this cycle, so we are always functioning within the field of knowledge. And knowledge is limited. So knowledge is always living with ignorance, and our actions are always limited, therefore always in conflict. This is the cycle, and we have never escaped from it. Is it possible to move away from that?
