Why is there contradiction at all? Contradiction implies opposites. But is there the opposite, except man-woman, girl-boy, etc. – is there contradiction at all? Or is there only one state which I don’t know how to go beyond, and so I invent the contradiction? We are investigating; I am not saying this is so. If I am jealous, the opposite, which is contradicere, to say the opposite to this, is 'not to be jealous'. If I know what to do with jealousy, would the opposite exist?
