Avneesh Singh Re-Elected to W3C Advisory Board

Congratulations to Avneesh, DAISY's Chief Operating Officer—Strategy & Operations, on his re-election to the W3C Advisory Board, a position that helps to ensure that accessibility remains a central feature of W3C developments.
On his re-election Avneesh says:
"W3C is at a crucial point; it is now a new legal entity, and we are re-building W3C into a new organization. My re-election will help in maintaining W3C's focus on accessibility, which is the purpose of the DAISY Consortium. It also provides an opportunity to shape the W3C into a worldwide organization and reinforce its focus on social values. Additionally, it has a spill over effect beyond W3C, which greatly helps in advancing the mission of accessibility."
Our news article has further details about the W3C Advisory Board and Avneesh's re-election.

DAISY Board and AGM in Washington 2023

Last month a series of DAISY meetings were hosted by the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) in Washington DC. This included the DAISY board meeting, a joint meeting with the Brailly Authority of North America, and our first annual general meeting conducted in person since 2019 which was also streamed online and incorporated a showcase of activity.
We're happy to share a summary of the Washington meetings and activities with links to further information.
