Improving Access To Braille

We're working to improve braille access in languages not currently supported in the free Liblouis transcription tool, enabling accessible book production. Liblouis provides braille functionality behind the scenes in a wide variety of hardware and software assistive technology, and can also be found in the DAISY Pipeline conversion tool.
If you know of a language that isn’t currently supported or would benefit from further work, we would like to hear from you. Read more about our Liblouis braille feedback work.

Accessibility Training

At DAISY we are regularly approached by organizations requesting training in the production of accessible books, document conversion, and accessible ebook creation. For the last two years, like many others, we have adapted to offer training online through self-study materials and trainer coordinated sessions over video calls. Last month we were able to resume in-person training. Read about the training session and how DAISY can help with your training needs.
