Cowabunga: Surfer proposes to girlfriend on the wavesHawaii and surfing go hand-in-hand, so when a pair of Hawaiian surfers plan on getting married, you know the occasion is bound to be gnarly. One Hawaiian man decided he needed to make his marriage proposal extra special, so he did what he does best and invited his girlfriend to go surfing with him. While catching the waves, he attempted a unique surfing trick by getting on one knee on top of his surfboard. To his girlfriendâs surprise, he pulled a small box from his board shorts that contained a ring! He proposed to her on the spot â just as the waves came crashing down behind them. It was a picture-perfect moment, but unfortunately, the magic came at a price. Thankfully, the real ring was safely on shore while he used a stand-in for his surfing proposal. Weâll cut him some slack for this one, though. Losing an expensive wedding ring is a great way to cut an engagement short.
