Data center makes $200M commitment to Greenville site

Southeastern tech company DC Blox will build a Tier III data center, its fifth across four states, in Greenville’s Global Business Park with an expected investment of more than $200 million. Brasfield & Gorrie will be general contractors for the construction project, expected to be complete in the third quarter of 2021.

SBA announces S.C. award winners

South Carolina’s Small Business Administration announced its national and state awards Sept. 8 with plans to recognize state winners in a virtual ceremony from 1- 3 p.m. on Sept. 16. Upstate winners include the small-business person of the year, the minority small-business person of the year, the female small-business person of the year and a leader in micro loans.

Correction

The headline for a story in Tuesday's GSA Daily misidentified the company in Upstate Giving that was involved in a shoe distribution project for homeless families. Academy Sports and Outdoors donated 65 pairs of shoes through the YMCA of Greenville. The error has been corrected online.
