Security firm UpGuard has found an unsecured data cache belonging to Canadian data analytics firm AggregateIQ, which has alleged links to Cambridge Analytica, a company that has been in the news recently for using Facebook data to help political clients.

A new type of customer service called ZenoBot is being rolled out across the country and the rest of the world. It has been developed by Australians as an AI "Avatar" that can "engage with customers, deliver information, answer questions, and even deliver education to students in classrooms".

SMEs have been promised a "new energy" technology champion as high electricity and gas prices generate a world of budget pain with hardware and software to the rescue.

New Zealand’s largest telco Spark has switched on its long-range Internet of Things network, making it available for commercial use in 60% of the country.

The Australian Communications Consumer Action Network says telcos do well out of the telecommunications industry, and need to step up and resolve complaints about third-party charges themselves, not send their customers off to third-party providers for resolution.
