The layoffs were across Mindbody and ClassPass, which Mindbody acquired in 2021, and the company cited the COVID-19 pandemic and inflationary pressures as reasons for the layoffs.  

The former controller could get a maximum sentence of 30 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
