In 2013 he set off with his partner, Kath and his easel, on a round the world cycle trip...'living the dream' of travel and escapism.
Now living in the Chamonix Valley, French Alps, painting scenes of his new surroundings and those inspired by his travels along the Mediterranean coastline.
"I started on my journey with the intention to paint beaches, people, objects...describing the desire to escape from 'normal' life.
Cycling along the coastline discovering new places, experiencing the heat, sweat and sand with the desire to record an impression of the ultimate destination, a place to escape to!
The translucent waters and secluded coves of Italy have inspired me to revisit places closer to home....now I'm obsessed with aerial views of Cornish coves!!'
