A New Commissioned Tattoo: Deborah and Barak

By David Hayward on Jun 09, 2020 08:50 am

"Deborah and Barak" tattoo design by nakedpastor David Hayward

Description: Brave Deborah encourages Barak to be courageous and go into battle. They are both armed and on horses.

A client requested a tattoo design depicting Deborah encouraging Barak to be brave and go into battle to defeat their enemies. He would only go if she accompanied him.

She said that since she is going into battle with him the victory, that will occur, will not be given to him but to a woman.

The client gave examples of her other tattoos and styles she likes. They were black and white, a kind of old-fashioned bible-illustration style woodcut design, and she wanted it to capture the courage of Deborah.

You can read about it in Judges 4 and 5.
