Day 2 of Media Days, MLB draft and more

Hello again from Atlanta, site of this year's SEC Media Days at the College Football Hall of Fame.

LSU coach Brian Kelly and players wrapped up their appearance here Monday, but that was just the first of four days of this year's event. There was still plenty of news coming out of Atlanta on Tuesday, some of it related to the Tigers. Plus we've got some baseball, basketball and track news, plus a little lagniappe as well.

So what are you waiting around here for? Let's begin ...

SEC MEDIA DAYS

My column focuses on the SEC's ongoing work toward a new football scheduling format. In short, there's a long way to go.

Our Wilson Alexander's main story is on Alabama linebacker Will Anderson, looking to succeed Bama quarterback Bryce Young as the Heisman Trophy winner.

SEC Notebook: Alabama players made how much in NIL money last year? Plus, Coach Kelly's dance moves are still making news.

Four Downs: Saban and Jimbo, a pirate looks at a playoff, Rattler's renaissance and who would be favored, beetles or Commodores?

Just in case we missed anything, check out our live tweets and links from Tuesday.

BASEBALL

The MLB draft is in the books, and the news for LSU is mostly positive.

BASKETBALL

Three former Tigers have picked up All-NBA Summer League honors. See who and what they did to earn their distinctions here.

TRACK AND FIELD

LSU's Favour Ofili and Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake were eliminated in the semifinals at the world track and field championships in Eugene, Oregon.

BOOK EXCERPT

There may never have been a better linebacker minted at LSU than Kevin Minter.

That's all we've got. Join us tomorrow after Day 3 of SEC Media Days.

For now from Atlanta, bye y'all!
