LAUNCH Eco-Lessons
On the Second Day of Giving, Launching Student Success in the New Year
On the second day of giving, we want to highlight students who are launching their journey in environmental stewardship. Grades of Green’s LAUNCH Eco-Lessons program provides fun and interactive step-by-step lessons and projects for K-12 students. By using LAUNCH Eco-Lessons, students are empowered with the tools to start their journeys to take on the Climate Crisis.
Harshit, a high school student from Ontario, Canada, took leadership this year by starting his own edible garden at home to reduce his family’s reliance on of store-bought produce and decrease their environmental footprint! Utilizing Grades of Green’s LAUNCH Eco-Lessons program, Harshit was able to plant curry leaves, tomatoes, and mint, which are some of the most frequently used produce items in his family. Moving forward, he hopes to continue his gardening journey and use more Eco-Lessons to reduce his community’s environmental impact.
"As we were planning the garden in my backyard, I was able to customize what I personally wanted to be planted, in addition to learning how it would be beneficial to me. I was able to go out and discover different plants that would work best for my space!" - Harshit J., Student from Aldershot High School
For the rest of 2024, our outstanding Eco-Leaders will be taking over our newsletters to run Grades of Green's first ever 5 Days of Giving Campaign!
On each day of giving, our students and educators will showcase one of our five impactful programs. Donations made on that day will directly support the featured program, allowing you to contribute to the causes that matter most to you and create meaningful environmental change!
