You would expect Lisa See’s The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane (Scribner), Anita Shreve’s The Stars Are Fire (Knopf), and Elizabeth Strout’s Anything Is Possible (Random) to be big. But the wide range of titles librarians grabbed off galley stacks or discussed with library marketing reps reveal a refreshing “what’s next?” sensibility.

You can visit the Far West with topnotch mystery writers C.J. Box and Keith NcCafferty, but be sure not to miss The Painted Queen, the final title from Elizabeth Peters. Her friend and colleague Joan Hess completed the work after the multi-award-winning author's death.
