| Cash Box KingsFriday, August 26 - 7pm & 9:30pm Hailing from the āWindy Cityā with their top shelf musicianship and trademark good humor, The Cash Box Kings are a one-of-a-kind blues band and bona fide blues royalty. In the words of MOJO magazine, the band is āflawless.ā Mixing tough Chicago and Delta blues, jumping proto-rock ānā roll, R&B, soul and steamrolling ābluesabillyā (their original mix of Chicago blues and Memphis rockabilly), they attack every song they play with contemporary authority and old school authenticity. āOne of the best blues bands in the land. Seating at the New Dazzle |
Here is the floor plan, as both a birdseye view of the space and front view. 1) The entrance in in the middle. The main music space is on the right, with the stage in the center, designed as 'music in the round'. Along the back wall and the far right wall, there are two different levels of banquets, which creates three different sightlines within the room, to allow for better viewing of the musicians. 2) The bar is to the left of the entrance, with tables in front of it. These tables would be tier 3 or not used for smaller shows. 3) Farther to the left is a piano bar, which is intended to be a causal meeting space where conversations can happen with minimal distractions to the performance, like when Dazzle was on Lincoln. |
This image shows a side view of the main music space with one (of three) sightlines illustrated. Currently, the space is unfurnished, so only technical drawings and digital renderings are available. |
