| | | The bar shelves arrived! The large metal contraption on the left is going over the stunning artwork by Tom O’Neill. The metal shelving compliments the artist’s intent to create a bar that where industrial mechanics meets art. In Tom’s own words: "Valves, gaskets, hammers, bells; musical instruments share many attributes with mankind's Great Machines of industry. When viewed at such an exaggerated scale, one can fully appreciate their intricate mechanics. This seemingly industrial backdrop is a tribute to the dynamism of the hard-working bartender." | | | | | Dazzle is seeking a new Operations Manager | Operations Manager

| | Benny Green
Wednesday, May 17 - 7:00PM & 9:30PM
At the age of 19, Benny Green moved to New York City to join legendary vocalist Betty Carters band and never looked back. He would then assume the piano chair with some of jazz music’s most important instrumental groups, including Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Freddie Hubbard, and the Ray Brown Trio.
“I’ve never felt a need or a calling to become one who’s thought of or labeled as an innovator. Rather, I’ve strived since childhood to become an authentic jazz musician, and I seek to stand as a torchbearer for the continuum of straight-ahead jazz piano.” | | |

| | Otis Taylor
Saturday, May 20 - 7:00PM & 9:30PM
Otis Taylor grew up in Denver, but like the old blues song said, he was born in Chicago in 1948. According to Taylor his parents were both jazz fans. The first instrument Taylor learned to play was the banjo, but he soon rejected the banjo for its association with the racist American South. Taylor would eventually return to the banjo upon discovering its African roots.
Like so many musicians in Denver, Taylor drew inspiration from time spent at the Denver Folklore Center founded by Harry Tuft, where he first heard Piedmont, Delta, country, and Chicago blues artists like Son House, Muddy Waters, and Mississippi Fred McDowell.
