The Trump Administration has made a series of pivotal moves on immigration, first a travel ban from several Middle-Eastern countries and now the end of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, which ends a program allowing for a two-year reprieve from deportation for immigrants who arrived to the U.S. illegally before the age of 16 before 2007. In Massachusetts, there are an estimated 142,404 undocumented immigrants with a spending power of $2.7 billion who pay $381.4 billion in local, state and federal taxes, according to New American Economy.
