DE-CIX goes East: Moscow!

After announcing our latest exchange in Lisbon in the last newsletter, we have more big news this month: We signed a strategic partnership with MSK-IX and will soon be offering services in Moscow. Lisbon and Moscow are part of our strategy to be present in 20 metro regions by 2020.

And in case you missed the news on the web or our social media channels: DE-CIX won Capacity's Best Internet Exchange Innovation Award last week! We think it's safe to say that our patch robot has had a big influence on winning the award. DE-CIX and MSK-IX sign agreement for a strategic partnership


We are happy to spread the news that DE-CIX is going East! We have signed an agreement to establish a strategic partnership with MSK-IX. The aim is to directly connect the two Internet Exchanges MSK-IX in Moscow and DE-CIX in Frankfurt. Read more.

Two new DE-CIX enabled sites in Frankfurt: e-shelter FRA 2 and FRA 4


In Frankfurt, the two e-shelter data centers Frankfurt 2 (Hanauer Landstrasse) and Frankfurt 4 (Hattersheim) will become DE-CIX-enabled sites. e-shelter's campus Frankfurt 1, the main site of e-shelter in Frankfurt, has been a DE-CIX-enabled site since 2013. Read more.

DE-CIX New York growth: New /22 network necessary, customers have to renumber


DE-CIX New York is growing, we are close to 200 connected networks! Due to the ongoing growth, we will have to change to a new IP network. All customers will have to renumber their IPv4 interface connecting to the New York peering LAN. Read more.

Understanding DDoS internals: Measuring booter services
