Infrastructure upgrades & improving customer experience
There has been a lot of work being done to future proof our infrastructure and improve customer experience. Our backbone network is being upgraded to 400G capacity, which helps us to keep up with the 30% annual traffic growth and allows simpler and faster service provisioning. DE-CIX Munich and Hamburg are also getting bigger and we are upgrading to new /23 networks, which means customers at these two exchanges need to change their routers' IPv4 address.

Due to customer growth, we have acquired a new address range for DE-CIX Munich and all existing customers will have to change their routers' IPv4 address.

We also have a new address range for DE-CIX Hamburg requiring customers to renumber their IPv4 interface connecting to the Hamburg peering LAN.

The broadband measurement tool (Breitbandmessung) of the German Federal Network Agency is now connected directly to the DE-CIX platform.
