Dealing with Another Disrupted Easter | Last year at about this time, I made a made a comment to some colleagues about how we might not be able to gather for next Easter—in 2021. They laughed. They understood that I was joking. In our minds, there was no way we’d still be dealing with this pandemic by then. Well, here we are. Yes, some of us will gather with other believers to celebrate Christ’s resurrection. But even then, we’ll likely be masked and socially distanced. Hardly a normal Easter. And, as this report shows, many Christians will still be spending Easter at home. It also sheds light on which kinds of Christians are more likely to attend church next week. You also may want to check out our resource on Evangelistic and Newcomer Ministry. Whether the newcomers this year join your church in-person or online, this collection of forms and articles will help you follow up with them in a sensitive, effective way. Happy Easter! |
