Debates and Conflict

You may have heard that there was a presidential debate last night. You might have even watched it (if so, I’m truly sorry).

In today’s episode of The Bulletin, Russell Moore, Mike Cosper, and Clarissa Moll discuss last night’s performances. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t great for President Joe Biden. What impact will it have on the coming election? The panel shares their thoughts.

Whoever wins the election in November, our country will likely be even more divided than it is already. The polarization will test the church too. Virtually every pastor I talk to is already sharing stories of divisions within their congregations over politics. If you’re in church leadership, please check out this important assessment on handling conflict. Use these handouts with your team to help them prevent conflict when possible, work through conflict when it occurs, and strive for unity with other church members and leaders.

Conflict is inevitable, but how we handle it is a choice.
