| The ACLU is fighting classroom censorship | | | | Right now, politicians are introducing dangerous classroom censorship bills across the country that gag educators and students from talking about issues of the most profound national importance, including the lived experiences of LGBTQ people and people of color. The ACLU is fighting back with every tool at our disposal — but we need your support. If schools are found in violation of classroom censorship bills or restrictions, many may risk losing funding. In some cases, teachers could face formal admonishment or lose teaching licenses if they don’t comply with curriculum restrictions. Classroom censorship bills violate our First Amendment rights and must be stopped. Add your name today and take the pledge if you’re with us. | | |
