Super Bowl champion and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders credited God for his success as "Coach Prime" during an interview with CBS' "60 Minutes," declaring, "God wouldn't relocate me to something that was successful. ... He had to find the most disappointing and the most difficult task. ... And this is what it is. And I love that." Under his leadership as head coach, the University of Colorado recently celebrated its 45-42 victory over TCU after winning just a single game last season. Promise Keepers, an Evangelical organization that encourages men to live out God's calling, has had its events canceled by Christian institutions such as Belmont University and several churches, with Belmont canceling a Promise Keepers event after the group criticized LGBT pride month. "The spirit of the age we live in is fear—of being criticized, disliked, canceled. As Promise Keepers, we refuse to give into that fear," CEO Ken Harrison told CP. Read more.
Matthew Lee Richards, the children's pastor at Crossroads Christian Church in Shawnee, Kan., has been charged with five counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated arson after he allegedly tried and failed to murder his wife and four of their five children and then burn their house down. Investigators and the local fire department were called to the pastor's home where they discovered his wife and children had suffered "laceration injuries." Read more.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has determined that the San Jose Unified School District in California likely acted unlawfully by derecognizing its Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapters because the Christian group requires leaders to abstain from sex outside of marriage. The court voted 9-2 to issue an en banc ruling that the district likely violated the First Amendment by prohibiting the FCA over its statement on sexual purity. Read more.

TikTok has been fined around $370 million after an inquiry from the Irish Data Protection Commission found that the social media platform failed to comply with multiple General Data Protection Regulation rules, including by placing child users' accounts on a public setting by default. The commission is a national independent authority that protects the personal data of individuals in the European Union and regulates TikTok. Read more.
MercyMe's "To Not Worship You" reached No. 1 on Billboard's Christian Airplay and Christian Adult Contemporary Airplay charts. The song comes from the band's 2022 album Always Only Jesus. Billboard says this is the group's 19th No. 1 on Christian Airplay and 20th on Christian AC Airplay. Read more.
