No DWI test for Richmond: Former U.S. Rep. and presidential adviser Cedric Richmond was not tested for intoxication by the NOPD after he crashed his Mercedes into an oak tree along North Claiborne Avenue in April, despite a police report that described him as “disoriented” and slurring his speech. JPSO shoots man in car: A Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputy shot and killed a man wanted in connection with a New Orleans shooting Tuesday when they encountered him at a Metairie apartment complex. Sheriff Joseph Lopinto says his deputy used "proper force" in shooting the man, who had gotten behind the wheel of a car and started driving it. Michelle Hunter has the story.
