A 15-year-old bet by Israel Aerospace Industries to trans-form a short-range, sea-based interceptor into a multi-domain, air- and missile-defense complex is now complete.

Deliveries will begin “soon” of the final and advanced piece of the Barak MX complex. In addition to becoming the most financially successful product line in the Israeli defense industry, the Barak MX validated the 150-km-range (93-mi.) Barak Extended-Range (ER) interceptor in a late March series of flight tests.
