Derek Carr talks Davante Adams; Khalen Saunders talks Taylor Swift

Happy Friday, and welcome to the Oct. 4 edition of the Saints Insider newsletter.

We are three days away from the Saints’ Monday night road game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Here’s a look at our stories from Thursday.

Carr – Adams reunion?

Derek Carr and Davante Adams were teammates at both Fresno State and with the Raiders. It’s reported that Adams wants out of Las Vegas and would like to play with either Carr in New Orleans or Aaron Rodgers with the New York Jets. What does Carr think about that? He addressed that Thursday. Our Matt Paras lets you in on what Carr had to say.

Taylor Swift’s team or Saints?

I bet you didn’t think you’d be reading about Taylor Swift in a Saints’ newsletter. Well, here's why. Saints defensive tackle Khalen Saunders has a connection to Swift, the music icon and huge Kansas Chiefs fan. Saunders’ brother Kameron is a backup dancer on Swift’s current tour. So who will Kameron be rooting for in Monday’s game between the Saints and Chiefs? Khalen Saunders gave us the answer Thursday.

Taysom update

Taysom Hill left Sunday’s game against the Falcons with a rib injury. How serious was the injury? Here’s the update Dennis Allen provided Thursday.

Some good news

Not all the news was bad Thursday. Running back Kendre Miller, who hasn’t played all season, returned to practice for the first time. Here’s the latest on Miller and the rest of Thursday’s injury report.

That’s all for today. Be sure to go to www.nola.com today for more updates. Also, we’ll record an episode of The Saints Insider podcast today, so make sure you’re subscribing to the YouTube channel.

As always, thanks for reading.
