METRO Browns stadium continued: The Cleveland Browns tried to mitigate public backlash this week following news they may soon be seeking a new, $1 billion stadium, Kaitlin Durbin reports. A spokesman for the team's owners released a statement saying they're not contemplating moving or rebuilding, at this time, but left the door open for uncertainty over the future of its lakefront home. Stimulus watch: Three Cuyahoga County councilmembers introduced proposals Tuesday to spend $13.7 million in American Rescue Plan Act dollars on parks, beautification and other projects in their home districts. Skip the line: The "Ohio BMV Express" program that piloted kiosks for renewing and printing vehicle registrations and license-plate stickers is now permanent and expanding across Northeast Ohio. Sean McDonnell reports that drivers can now find the kiosks at Meijer grocery stores in Avon, Lorain, Mentor and Stow, as well as at the Medina BMV on North Court Street and at the E-Check station in Westlake. Near maximum: A Cleveland woman charged with murder in the 2019 death of her newborn son in her Hiram College dorm was sentenced to at least 10 years in prison Tuesday. Released: A man who spent more than three decades in prison before a judge overturned his conviction last year pleaded guilty on Tuesday to his involvement in the 1989 slaying of his roommate.
