digital artworks generated by text-to-image AI tools such as DALL-E 2, imagen and midjourney, are making a splash in the creative world. from cinematic poster compositions that reference pop culture staples, to 'semi-alive' architectural structures engulfed by living organisms, it appears that the sky (or a huge image database) is the limit when it comes to constructing such compositions.
some artists and designers are expressing their concerns over the rise of artificial intelligence. sebastian errazuriz, who has been exploring the potentials of such software in the creative field for years, recently took to instagram to sound alarms over which artists will be the first to be replaced by AI. meanwhile, others, like kory bieg, appear optimistic and 'extremely hopeful that AI will unlock a whole new ecosystem of creativity that is open, shared, and expansive.'
