dear designboom reader,
this week, new images of the richard gilder center revealed a soaring, four-story-high curving concrete atrium taking shape at the american museum of natural history. designed by studio gang, the sculptural new center is expected to transform the experience of the entire museum once it opens in february 2023.
concrete also takes center stage in studio zhu pei's new art center in china, giving shape to a series of sweeping curves that top the building. another recently-unveiled project that embraces bold geometries is estudio MMX's geology museum in progreso, mexico, where triangular shapes illuminate the semi-open structure in the form of cutouts and large skylights.
thanks for reading!
