dear designboom reader,
chairs can take different forms. they can bear bundles of rice straws, which double as cushioning, as seen in sukchulmok studio's mok-04. they can come to life from salvaged wood, pieced together using tree sap as a binding agent, much like earth to people's collection.
chair designs can be symbolic, too. with halfway serious wooden chair, users need to communicate so the eggs on both ends don't fall while they're sitting. in atelier RZLBD's series, the seats have barbed wire, paint, and more as they look into people's relationship with authority.
thanks for reading!
