Dear designboom reader, Recent car designs draw their style inspiration from previous generations. For Oilstainlab’s HF-11 vehicle, it’s the classic Porsche and Canadian-American Challenge Cup race cars that influence its wide, minimalist frame. Then, the supercar Peralta S, with a sloping body, takes after the 1971 Maserati Boomerang. Hidden features appear in current vehicle designs, too. Take Ferrari, which conceals the taillights of the Amalfi sports car inside its wedge-shaped body. With the Concept GT XX, Mercedes-AMG embeds loudspeakers into the headlamps, making the lights double as audio devices. Thanks for reading! Matthew Burgos | Senior Editor |
