Dear designboom reader, Creatives and artists use varying materials to create flower artworks and designs. They use silk to produce a new breed of artificial flowers, as seen in Bloom & Wolf and NIKE’s Oranje Fatalis around Amsterdam. Others, like Stuart Semple, generate a meadow of colorful flora using 3D printing. At times, the creatives’ craftsmanship allows them to mimic the appearance of real blossoms, similar to Julia Oleynik’s botanical sculptures and clay flowers painted with oil. They also curate markets, like CJ Hendry, creating vibrant spaces brimming with individually crafted plush flowers. Thanks for reading! Matthew Burgos | Senior Editor |
