jewel changi airport, the mixed-use development designed by safdie architects, is set to open to the public for the first time. the project’s centerpiece is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, officially known as the ‘HSBC rain vortex’, which is surrounded by the shiseido forest valley, a four-storey garden filled with thousands of plants and trees. meanwhile, the site’s recreational facilities, including climbable sky nets, a hedge maze, and a series of slides, will open at a later date.
