IN PARIS, JR TRANSFORMS SCAFFOLDING INTO VAST PUBLIC ARTWORK

the opéra national de paris has invited french artist JR to transform the scaffolding of the historic palais garnier, which is currently under renovation, into a public art project. the show-stopping installation sees the landmark building reimagined as the entrance of a vast cave in JR's distinctive trompe l’oeil style. unveiling of the work coincides with the opening of paris design week 2023, while it will remain on view until september 25.
