Hello

The brother of missing man Daniel Hives has issued a desperate plea as it reaches six months since the 29-year-old disappeared.

Preston father-of-one Daniel went missing on Saturday December 10 after visiting friends in Lancaster. And despite a possible sighting on the same evening, there has been no trace of him since.

As this Saturday marks six months since they last saw him, Daniel's brother Robbie admits friends and family are running short of ideas.

"Sadly there are no new updates and it’s starting to become very hard where to look next as we seem to have exhausted our options," he said.

"If anything new was to come to light we would look straight into it. The main thing for me is that if Daniel is still out there somewhere he just lets someone know that he's safe."

Elsewhere today, a Preston double-glazing firm has been fined £130,000 for bombarding people with unlawful marketing calls.

Crown Glazing Ltd, based at Preston Docks, broke the law by cold calling households and businesses and falsely claiming to represent the UK Government and National Grid.

While the majority of calls were advertising double-glazing and a free energy test, some of the complaints claimed the firm misleadingly suggested they were representing the UK Government to help households improve their energy savings.

The company, who install energy efficient windows and doors, also falsely claimed to represent a number of energy suppliers.

Today's trawl through the archives takes us back to the 1960s in Preston and there's some absolute gems in here.

While in sport, we've been speaking Robbie Brady who has saluted the PNE support for snapping up 11,000 season cards so far.

Thanks for reading, enjoy the weekend sun,

Adam
