Your winter coat can stay in the closet, at least until Wednesday.  Temperatures in the southern half of Minnesota continue to climb into the mid-40s Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs up north will be in the mid-30s. Light rain is possible in the Twin Cities metro area while northeastern Minnesota may see light snow tonight. 


President Trump said yes to Democrats’ invitation to the impeachment inquiry, but he might do it just in writing. “[Nancy Pelosi] said I could do it in writing. Even though I did nothing wrong,” Trump tweeted, “I like the idea & will, in order to get Congress focused again, strongly consider it!”


What makes you think, “OK, boomer?” As the workforce spans five generations for the first time in history, from the Silent Generation to Gen Z, generational differences can sometimes play out in the workforce. The popularity of the hashtag suggests there might be a yawning gap in attitudes between old and young, but not everyone agrees that "OK, boomer" speaks to deep, underlying tensions between the generations. 


Mayo cuts back on salt on roads and sidewalks. Despite record-amount snow in southern Minnesota, including Rochester, Mayo Clinic reduced its salt use by 60 percent from the previous winter -- by only using salt when and where it’s needed, instead of just routinely plowing and salting after every snowfall. The move is in an effort to address growing concern over the environmental effects of road salt washing into lakes and streams.
