| | Disney launches LGBT clothing line for kids; critics blast company for promoting 'sexual confusion' | Critics are sounding off following the release of Disney's new "Pride Collection," a clothing line targeting children. The company has recently been under fire due to its reaction to Florida's new parent rights in education bill, as well as reported efforts to increase LGBT advocacy in its children's programming. The new line features a range of merchandise such as t-shirts, baby clothes, sweaters and other items, all bearing the rainbow pride flag that symbolizes the LGBT movement. "The new clothing line is just a part of Disney's continued push to promote sexual confusion in children. Children weren't designed to carry the weight of adult sexuality," says Focus on the Family's Zachary Mettler. In comments to The Christian Post, Mettler also suggested that Disney is trying to plant the idea into children's heads that same-sex couples marrying is morally the same as marriage between a man and a woman and also attempting to teach that gender is malleable, which he says will "confuse" and negatively impact them when they become young adults. Samuel Rodriguez, the president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, says that Latino voters are "abandoning the Democratic Party or leftist ideologies" due to their "commitment to life," referring to abortion. The faith leader told The Christian Post Latinos are ditching the party because it has become "anti-Christian" and "anti-religious liberty." He pointed to polls conducted by news outlets such as The Wall Street Journal as evidence that "Latinos are abandoning the Democratic Party in droves." A poll conducted by Marist University with NPR and PBS NewsHour found 52% of Latinos supporting the Republican candidate for Congress in the upcoming midterm elections compared to just 39% of those who would vote for the Democrat counterpart. A WSJ poll in March showed Latinos supported the Republican congressional candidate over the Democratic contender by 9 points in this year’s midterm elections. In a YouTube video, the pastor explained, "Willow is about half of the size we were before COVID, which is right in line with the churches across the country. But as you can see, and as you can imagine, that has fiscal impactions ... the hard reality is that we are in the process of rightsizing our staff, which unfortunately means some reductions." | | With new book, pediatricians try to ensnare kids in gender ideology | The American Academy of Pediatrics has gone woke, writes Douglas Blair, pointing to the group's latest children's book, "You-ology: A Puberty Guide for EVERY Body." The book, which is being touted as a guide intended "to talk about puberty in an inclusive way," includes content about children who identify as transgender and argues "that sex isn’t related to what genitals a baby has, and that it’s all about how someone identifies," Blair explains. The book further goes on to assert there is a multitude of genders. Newcombe highlights the parallels between Washington and William Wilberforce, who was often called "The George Washington of Humanity." Pointing to Washington's faith and him freeing his slaves and making provisions for them upon his death, Newcombe concludes, "The Marxist iconoclasts of today, such as the triggered student at George Washington University, or the editors at The Washington Post, who promulgated such ideas to a wider audience, have no appreciation for the sacrificial contributions of those who went before us." The pastor explained, "You don't have to be a Christian to like the guy that loves sinners. I mean, He was amazing and gracious to people. He spent time with the poor. He humbled oppressive leaders who took advantage of widows." However, once people look to aspects beyond the love and miracles, their views change. Pointing to the example of Jesus meeting with Mary and Martha after Lazarus died, the pastor noted, "Jesus didn't say, ‘Oh well. That's life.’ He said, ‘No, I am the resurrection and the life.’ That’s a bold claim." Continue reading. |

After his bandmates also dealt with backlash from his comments, the musician apologized—a move he later questioned. "As I continued to research, I felt more and more that I'd participated in a lie," Marshall said. "That really affected my conscience." The musician "came to Christ again" following his divorce in 2020. "[I]f you fear God sincerely, then you won't fear worldly issues, worldly problems," he explained. The actress, seen in the newly released "Doctor Strange" installment, said during an interview with Pedestrian.tv that, while she is "witness to it," she does not practice it herself. Olsen clarified, "I do feel, though, that I and some people in my life are a little bit witchy." The actress has discussed her atheist beliefs in previous interviews. | Joe Schimmel, the senior pastor of Blessed Hope Chapel in California, said "Doctor Strange" is "pushing the envelope" by "making satanists the heroes." In an interview with CBN News, he drew a parallel between Marvel films and Christianity and accused Marvel of deliberately "making the bad guys have elements of Christ," adding: "Many Christians are putting their guards down, not realizing the darkness. It's in plain sight. They are influencing families and children. Our parents grew up with comics. Now, it's superheroes but they're not the same comics from back then ... they've become far darker."
