Letter from the Editor Dr. Atkins always said that his low carb plan would lower cholesterol if you followed it for at least 6 months. (He also acknowledged that it could go up during the beginning of the program.) So is it true that it works, or is it not? This week, our intern Zahra Hashemy, PharmD. Candidate, USF Taneja College of Pharmacy, has completed significant research on what multiple studies have shown.
