Have you ever heard people talk about "quiet confidence"? Well, Nasty C's isn't quiet, it's screaming at the top of its lungs. I'm not sure what to make of it at first, but as I listen back to our chat, I like it. He's sure of himself. Because let's be honest, you don't reach the incredible heights he has by being hesitant.
And it's not just a persona that comes with the title of "coolest kid in Africa". The 23-year-old has carried this self-assurance since he was a child.
"I always looked at myself as somebody who is going to be a global artist one day, so my aim was somewhere else," he tells Channel24's Music Editor, Nikita Coetzee, when she asks him about the pressures of being one of the youngest rappers in the South African music scene.
