We Might Really Get a Kate Bishop/Hawkeye Disney+ TV Series!

Clint Barton Hawkeye
When I was first getting into the Avengers mythos via the excellent Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes TV series, Hawkeye was my favorite character. He was funny and courageous and just a guy with a bow on a team of super-people. Going from that to... whatever Jeremy Renner was doing in Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Captain America: Civil War was disappointing to say the least.

Steven Mnuchin Should Have Known Better Than to Mansplain Congressional Hearings to Maxine Waters

Congresswoman Maxine Waters rests her head on her chin, fresh out of patience, above a plaque reading Chairwoman.
Yesterday, Steve Mnuchin went to Capitol Hill to give the Treasury Secretary's annual testimony on the state of the international financial system. The House Committee on Financial Services is chaired by Maxine Waters, famous for not holding back her disdain for foolishness or crimes, both of which were on full display in this hearing.

Incredible Honest Trailer for Mortal Engines Shows us Just How Bad the Movie Is

Honest Trailer for Mortal Engines
As someone who covers movies, I knew there was something wrong with Mortal Engines before it hit box offices. There's a certain sense of doom you can smell in the air. The buzz was either nonexistent or just plain not great. The advertising was lackluster, as though the studio couldn't bring itself to care. And every time we posted a trailer here, our readers who enjoyed Philip Reeve's novels voiced their doubt. Now Honest Trailer is here to lay out all of the badness.

Andy’s Boyfriend in The Devil Wears Prada Is Still the Worst, No Matter What the Writer Says

Nate (Adrian Grenier) encourages Andy to quit her job in The Devil Wears Prada.
One of the most hotly debated parts of comedy classic The Devil Wears Prada is not whether Miranda Priestly is the devil (she is, but she has her reasons) or whether or not Emily Blunt deserved some awards love for her turn as Emily Charlton (she did). No, instead it's whether or not Andy's boyfriend Nate and best friends were the worst, or if they were in the right for calling Andy out on her changed behavior.

Today’s Hearing on White Nationalism and Hate Crimes Was Even More of a Mess Than You’d Expect

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - AUGUST 12: Hundreds of white nationalists, neo-Nazis and members of the 'alt-right' are confronted by protesters as they march down East Market Street toward Emancipation Park during the 'Unite the Right' rally August 12, 2017 in Charlottesville, Virginia. After clashes with anti-fascist protesters and police the rally was declared an unlawful gathering and people were forced out of Emancipation Park, where a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee is slated to be removed.
Today, the United States House Committee on the Judiciary held a hearing on hate crimes and the rise of white nationalism, and it was even more of a mess than you might have guessed just based on the subject matter—or not, if you're all caught up on how this conversation has been going outside of Congress lately.
