A survey conducted by the ACT Teachers Federation revealed that more than 1000 students, who required remedial teaching, were in normal classes in ACT primary and secondary schools, The Canberra Times reported on this day 52 years ago. The survey showed almost 8 per cent of the pupils at ACT government schools were not getting the remedial teaching they needed.
