Bitcoin Miner GRIID Plans To Go Public In $3.3 Billion Merger

Bitcoin Miner Griid Infrastructure LLC announced they have entered into a definitive merger agreement with Adit EdTech Acquisition Corp. to list on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Through this merge, the value of the combined companies lies at about $3.3 billion.

With miners continuously going public during the last months and being able to acquire big amounts of funding through being listed and mergers, it is only natural to continue seeing more bitcoin miners to jump on the bandwagon, and use this strategy to increase their operations as the regulatory framework for bitcoin becomes clearer.

Leapfrogging is when the cost to produce one technology is too great for a population, so when a new cheaper technology is created, it gets quickly adopted and the old tech is skipped. A simple sentence is enough to describe the thesis of the author's article.

Bitcoin is leapfrogging the traditional banking system. In a world where still many countries have more than half of the population underbanked:

Bitcoin, through the main protocol and the lightning network, provides a solution to the unsolved problem for decades. First Bitcoin ETF To Pay Monthly Yield Launches In Canada

Purpose Investments, the company who launched the first Bitcoin ETF in Canada, is now allowing canadians to receive a monthly bitcoin yield through a new exchange traded fund (ETF) listed in the Toronto Sock Exchange. Their new product started trading today under the ticker symbol BTCY.B with a management fee of 1.10%.

It is important to remark that the monthly yield paid out is not guaranteed to be paid consistently due to volatility but still expects an annual return of between eight and ten percent.
