Welcome to the 853rd DPReview newsletter!

First some admin: if you thought you had missed a newsletter somewhere over the past couple of weeks, you weren't going crazy – we experienced a technical issue, which has now been fixed (read: we fed the hamster that powers the distribution list).

It's lucky that you're not going to miss this week's newsletter though, because there's big news: After confirming in our recent interview that a professional Z-mount mirrorless camera was coming, last night Nikon officially announced the development of the Z9. We don't know much about it yet, but what we do know is pretty exciting.

In other news, we've finished up our lab testing of the Sony Alpha 1's impressive new sensor, and we've added two more in-depth executuive interviews to our spring 2021 series: Nikon (mentioned above) and Fujifilm.

Thanks for reading!
