Welcome to the 630th Digital Photography Review newsletter.

As we prepare to jet off to another tradeshow - this time it's the Photo Plus Expo in New York - we're working hard on Sony's two brand new cameras, the a6500 and Cyber-shot RX100 V. We've also been looking at Sigma's 30mm F1.4 'Contemporary' lens for Micro Four Thirds, and you can find links to all of that content below. In the meantime, Chris has been explaining how to get great pictures in the winter months, and I've been casting my mind back to the winter of 2000, when 3MP represented a shiny new future...

Sony a6500 & RX100 V: Full launch content

Sony has taken the wraps off of two new cameras, adding significant improvements to its a6000-series as well as its premium compact RX100-series. We were at the launch of the new a6500 and Cyber-shot RX100 V and we've prepared a full selection of content, including sample images.

Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN C Micro Four Thirds Lens Review

The Sigma 30mm F1.4 DN DC Contemporary was announced in February 2016, and sits atop Sigma's line of DN mirrorless lenses, with a 2-stop advantage over their previous 30mm F2.8 offering. As a Micro Four Thirds lens, how does it compare to the Panasonic Leica 25mm F1.4?
