Welcome to the 678th Digital Photography Review newsletter.

Well, the summer must be drawing to a close, since the launches are springing up thick and fast. In fact, most of my colleagues are currently out in the field, gathering information, tending to the latest releases and preparing to bring you a bountiful harvest of camera information and sample photos.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 IV

When we recently got wind of a Sony announcement, we were fully expecting a new full-frame ILC. Lo and behold, it was an even higher-end version of the company's RX10 enthusiast long zoom camera. The RX10 Mark IV is all about speed and autofocus, with 24 fps bursts and a hybrid AF system that we can't wait to try.

Fujifilm X-E3

The X-E3 is the company's latest rangefinder-style mirrorless camera, gaining the 24MP X-Trans sensor and 4K capability from the X-T20. However, the differences run a little deeper than the different body shapes and greater use of its touchscreen. We've been handling the camera for a few days, to tease-out what it brings to the X-E series.

As well as the X-E3, we've been out shooting with the third in Fujifilm's range of small, weather-resistant F2 lenses for the X mount. 50mm is a popular focal length on APS-C, so we took the splashproof lens out to one of our local lakes, to see how it looks.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 III Review

Olympus was kind enough to lend us a production-spec E-M10 III for a few weeks before launch, which has allowed us to publish a full review already. The headline specs may not seem very different, beyond the addition of 4K video, but a lot of work has been done to make the camera's features more accessible.

With the summer waning, it'll soon be time to start bringing you the web's best-informed buying guides. In the meantime, I'll stop trying to stretch harvest metaphors, lest I end up breaking them. Stay tuned.
