This week's top real estate headlines

The internet's favorite couple, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, have significantly upgraded their residential circumstances. They recently purchased a Nolita duplex penthouse for about $8 million that just so happens to be right next door to the single-level penthouse loft that the family of four bought a little less than two years ago for more than $9 million. Meanwhile, over on the West Coast, the longtime president and CEO of Casa Systems, Jerry Guo, made a gargantuan real estate deal. The telecommunications power player recently plunked down $15 million for a knife-sharp, maximalist contemporary designed by local architect Ken Ronchetti.

In other news, music stars are holding public jam sessions in their homes, real estate services were declared essential by California, celebrities just really love New York City, and "Big Love" star Melora Walter is looking for someone to take her Hollywood Hills home off of her hands.
